SwapGuardo

Fixed rate

A swap quote that locks the amount you will receive, as long as you send the deposit within the quote window.

A fixed rate locks the exchange rate when you create a swap. If you send the agreed deposit within the time window, usually a few minutes, you receive exactly the quoted amount, even if the market moves while your transaction confirms.

The provider takes on the price risk during that window, so fixed quotes are usually slightly less generous than floating ones. The difference acts as a premium for certainty.

Fixed rates are useful for volatile coins, for slow chains where confirmation takes a while, and when you need an exact amount on the receiving side, such as paying an invoice. If your deposit arrives late or with a different amount than agreed, the provider may recalculate the payout at the current rate or offer a refund, depending on its terms.
