Swap Monero (XMR) Without KYC

Start a XMR swap →

Monero (XMR) is a privacy coin launched in 2014. Every transaction is private by default: ring signatures hide which output was spent, stealth addresses hide the recipient, and RingCT hides the amount. Outside observers cannot read balances or link payments the way they can on Bitcoin. Blocks arrive about every two minutes.

Monero addresses start with 4 (standard) or 8 (subaddress). Received funds are locked for 10 blocks, roughly 20 minutes, before they can be spent, so swaps into or out of XMR take longer than most. If a swap is delayed, the transaction ID and transaction key from your wallet prove that you paid, without revealing your balance.

Access has become harder. Binance delisted XMR in February 2024, OKX in January 2024, and Kraken stopped XMR trading for customers in the European Economic Area in October 2024. From 10 July 2027, the EU's AML Regulation will also stop crypto providers in the EU from keeping accounts that use anonymity-enhancing coins. Holding XMR in your own wallet is not banned by that rule. Instant swaps into your own wallet remain one of the simpler ways to get XMR.
