Tether (USDT) is the most widely used dollar stablecoin. Each token aims to stay worth one US dollar, and Tether issues it on many blockchains at once. USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20), TRON (TRC20), Solana (SPL), BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20) and TON are the same brand but separate tokens that cannot move directly between chains.

The network is the decision that matters most. On this site, the USDT network follows the other coin in the pair: TRX pairs use TRC20, SOL pairs use SPL, BNB pairs use BEP-20, TON pairs use USDT on TON, and most other pairs use ERC-20. The quote always shows the network, and the address you paste must belong to a wallet on that network.

Every USDT transfer pays its fee in the chain's own coin: ETH on Ethereum, TRX (or energy) on TRON, SOL on Solana, BNB on BNB Smart Chain and TON on TON. Keep a little of that coin next to your USDT. Sending USDT on the wrong network is the most expensive mistake people make with stablecoins, so compare the network in the quote with the network in your wallet before every transfer.
