Swap Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Without KYC

Start a BCH swap β†’

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) was created on 1 August 2017, when part of the Bitcoin community split off to raise the block size limit. The goal was cheap on-chain payments without second-layer networks. Bitcoin Cash keeps Bitcoin's 21 million supply cap and roughly 10-minute blocks, but fees are usually a small fraction of a cent.

The two chains share history up to the split, so old Bitcoin-style addresses starting with 1 or 3 can look valid on both. To prevent mistakes, Bitcoin Cash introduced the CashAddr format, which starts with bitcoincash:q or just q. Always check which network your wallet uses: BCH sent to a BTC-only address, or the other way round, is a common and costly mix-up.

Bitcoin Cash is a separate asset with its own price, not a copy of BTC. People swap into it for low-fee payments at merchants that accept it, or swap out to consolidate into Bitcoin. Confirmation times are similar to Bitcoin's, so allow for at least one block on the BCH side of a swap.
